Agrarian Reform Community receivesCMG Training

Sta. Cruz, Laguna.The Provincial Cooperative Development Office (PCDO) led by Mr. Edwin S. Bautista,in partnership with the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR)-Provincial Office headed by Ms. Elizabeth Villapando, Provincial Agrarian Reform Officer,provideda two-day seminar on Cooperative Management and Governance (CMG) training to Agrarian Reform Community (ARC) beneficiaries. The training was attended by thirty-two (32) participants from eight primary cooperatives held on July 18-19, 2017 at Asia Blooms Hotel and Restaurant, Sta. Cruz, Laguna.

Second FFS-SPF in Sta. Cruz, Laguna

Another Farmers’ Field School on Sustainable Pig Farming (FFS-SPF) was launched on July 19, 2017 in Barangay Bubukal, Sta. Cruz, Laguna. This is a partnership between the Office of the Provincial Veterinarian and the Jesus the Anointed One Church headed by Rev. Victoria Bandillo. The participants are all members of the Jesus the Anointed One Church who are into swine and poultry raising.

Laguna Province hosts APYE 2017 Local Immersion program

CALAMBA CITY, Laguna – Under the leadership of Governor Ramil L. Hernandez, the Province of Laguna hosted this year’s 4th Asia Pacific Youth Exchange (APYE) Local Immersion Program. A total of 74 young delegates from South Korea, Thailand, Nepal, Cambodia, India, Vietnam, and China livedwith their respective adoptive families in selected barangays in the cities of Santa Rosa, Biñan, and Cabuyao from July 14 to 19, 2017. They were joined by APYE members from the Philippines.
