The
town of Famy lies in the northeastern part of the province of Laguna.
It has a total land area of 5,305.8 hectares and a population of
9,661, based on the 1995 population census.
It
is bounded by the town of Real, Quezon, in the east, in the north
by Siniloan, Laguna, in the west by Mabitac and Sta. Maria, and
in the South by Siniloan and Mabitac.
Famy,
formerly a barrio of Siniloan, because the town of Famy in 1910.
The name was taken from the family name of the President Emilio
Aguinaldo’s mother.
