Mendoza left the car momentarily unattended while refueling at
a gas station along the National Highway in Brgy. Bulilan Sur,
Pila, Laguna and noticed the ignition of the car’s engine
and rushed to confront the suspect. There was serious struggle

got out of the car and attempted to escape riding a tricycle driven
by Alvin C. Ardeza.
Follow-up
operation led to the arrest of Opulencia who is a resident of
Brgy. Sambat, Tanauan City, Batangas. Another operation led to
the apprehension of other suspect Ponciano Gonzales at Villa Sta.
Ana Resort, Brgy. Pansol, Calamba City. The 3rd suspect identified

by a massive manhunt.
