      Laguna PNP Provincial Director PSSupt. Jaime D. Calungsod, Jr. formally presented 2 apprehended robbers to Laguna Governor Teresita “Ningning” S. Lazaro and CALABARZON Regional Director PCSupt. Oscar Calderon during the recent press conference at the Governor’s Office in Sta. Cruz. The suspect who robbed the Caltex Gasoline Station located at Bonifacio St. in Nagcarlan were arrested by the Nagcarlan Police during a hot pursuit operation. The said gasoline station owned by Mrs. Pilar Buenaseda was robbed last January 6, 2005 around 8:10 in the evening as the suspects poked a gun to the tellers Gina Llañes and Jena Dejan. Worth P 1,722.00 were taken as the suspects headed towards Brgy. Palma using a scooter with plate number VA-5814.
      Upon radio report from the victims, the Nagcarlan Police headed by PCI Jun Urriquia, with the assistance of the Bantay-Bayan Krimen and Guardians Brotherhood, Inc. pursued the assailants resulting to the arrest of cousins Ramil Flores Rabe, 18 years of age from Brgy. Uno, Gen. Luna, Quezon; and Richard Flores Rabe, 25 years old from Mindanao. Both are currently residing at Brgy. Ilayang Taykin, Liliw, Laguna. Confiscated from the suspects were a M2 Carbine Caliber 30 pistol with SNR 7151706 loaded with 1 long magazine and 27 pieces of live ammo, and a used shell inside the chamber. Confiscated also was a caliber 38 revolver marked protector without SNR with 5 live ammo including a used shell inside the chamber. The stolen money was also recovered.
    In the successful arrest and recovery of the money, Gov. Lazaro and PNP Regional Director PCSupt. Calderon lauded the PNP-Laguna headed by Provincial Director PSSupt. Calungsod, especially the Nagcarlan PNP, Bantay-Bayan Krimen and Guardians Brotherhood. The endeavor is an indicator of the relentless efforts of the Provincial Government and the PNP in the crusade against criminality that is part of Gov. Lazaro’s Sulong Kapayapaan at Kaayusan program.
