EskolaR coordinators conduct 3rd set of educational assistance distribution

After two (2) weeks, the third set of the distribution of educational assistance was personally led by Laguna Governor Jeorge “E.R.” Ejercito Estregan last February 26, 2013 (Tuesday) at the Cultural Center of Laguna, Provincial Capitol Compound, Sta. Cruz, Laguna. This third set of distribution was for scholars from Laguna University (LU).

Out of 263 scholars from the said university, approximately 10 students were not able to receive their assistance on the said schedule. Each student received an amount of 5,000 PhP for the second semester only of academic year 2012-2013, or a total of 10,000 PhP for this school year.

Together with Gov. Ejercito to assist him were Provincial Administrator Atty. Leonardo M. Ragaza, Jr., Consultant on Education Fred Capistrano, Governor’s Chief-of-Staff Carlos F. Dolendo, LU Vice-President for Academic Affairs Dr. Bonifacio Umaclap, and LU Vice President for Administration Prof. Gilbert Lozada.

Included in the cash assistance are the original DVD copies of the movie Manila Kingpin and the music video of Laguna, calendars, and Manila Kingpin fan.

Gov. Ejercito, after wishing the students to have a bright and successful future, also invited everybody on the 10-day celebration of the 3^rd La Laguna Festival which will start on March 8, 2013 at the Festival Ground of Provincial Capitol Compound.

This program is one of the priority projects of Governor Ejercito as written in K#4 Education, Culture, Youth and Sports of his K2 Kinse-Kumpleto Serbisyo Publiko Kontra Kahirapan, Gutom, Kawalang-Trabaho at Korapsyon. (Article by Clarisse Reyes/Olivia T. Garcia)
