General Cailles Memorial District Hospital (GCMDH) in Pakil, Laguna is one of the nine district hospitals owned by the Provincial Government of Laguna and is headed by Chief-of-Hospital Dr. Monalisa Cosme.
Through the Special Livelihood Office (SLO) headed by Ms. Elma Besabe, a Livelihood ng Masa Training was conducted at the hospital reaching 60 personnel including Dr. Cosme, other doctors, nurses, staff, and utility workers earlier today (August 1).
Ms. Besabe and SLO staff Carina Ansay, Warren Oliva, Wilma Javier, and Ernie Veraña trained the hospital staff to make dishwashing liquid, doormat, and fabric conditioner.
GCMDH is the first district hospital reached by SLO's Livelihood ng Masa Training Program. Governor Jeorge “E.R.” Ejercito Estregan wants to reach the nine district hospitals, through SLO, to provide other means of income and recreation for government workers.
It is in line with the governor's 15-point flagship program called K2 Kinse-Kumpleto Serbisyo Publiko Kontra Kahirapan at Gutom specifically K#4 (Employment, Manpower, Livelihood and Cooperative Development).
