Jacobo Z. Gonzales Memorial School of Arts and Trades (JZGMSAT) invited members of different sectors of society in a meeting regarding the creation of its school board held at APACC Room, JZGMSAT in Biñan City, September 12, 2011.
Meeting was conducted in accordance to Technical Education and Skillls Development Authority's (TESDA's) Resolution No. 2004-07 and 2004-08 which require its institutions to create their school boards. Being one of TESDA's pilot institutions, JZGMSAT was instructed to reactivate its school board.
With the school board established, it is expected to function for the benefit and welfare of the school. It shall pass policies; plan, manage, and create finances; and monitor and evaluate programs and projects.
It was attended by prospective board members, namely: Star Motors Administrative Manager Gregorio Yee (Industry Sector representative); JGMSAT Administrator Rolando Dela Torre; TESDA Provincial Director Pascual R. Arriola; Consultant for Media Affairs Edgar D. Llarena (Office of the Governor representative); Biñan City Education Officer Eric B. Sotelo (Office of the Mayor representative); JGMSAT Student Council President Maurine M. Malto; JGMSAT Parent Teacher Association President Rowena Q. Rejano; and JCI President Dave Almarines (non-goverment organization representative).
JZGMSAT, as a TESDA institution, is a partner of the provincial government in providing Laguneños technical skills that will lead them to employment.
