“Today we shall discuss important matters that will help boost our tourism industry further,” said Provincial Administrator Atty. Leonardo M. Ragaza, Jr. during the Laguna Tourism Council (LTC) 1st Quarter Meeting held at PHO Training Hall, Provincial Capitol Compound, Sta. Cruz, Laguna highlighting the importance of the said meeting.
After discussing the 2011 Accomplishment Report by Ms. Regina Austria, future undertakings were laid in public – the 2012 Tourism Programs and Activities and the unveiling of activities for 2012 La Laguna Festival.
Moreover, new strategies that will provide a bridge between buyers and merchants to easily communicate were introduced during LTC 1st Quarter Meeting.
First is the Gohunt.ph or the Newest Online Business Listing and Canvassing site in the Philippines. They offered their website service to Laguna for free. By using this trend, everybody believed that it shall contribute to generate more income and employment in the province.
Another marketing style offered during the meeting was the use of Bluewave Media Marketing Corporation. This Bluewave has an objective to promote tourism in the province via its satellite broadcast that is received by over a hundred cable TV operators nationwide. By adopting these new promoting and marketing style for the province, the awareness, appreciation, interest, and patronage of Laguna’s tourism products and services can be raised.
The meeting would not be possible without the efforts of LTC and Laguna Tourism Culture, Arts, and Trade Office (LTCATO)-Tourism Division where the members of the board, private sectos, and local government unit were united to uplift not only tourism but the lives of people in Laguna.
