Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC) Calamba and Provincial Urban Development and Housing Authority (PUDHO) headed by Mr. Antonio Alvarado and Engr. Hernando Goma, respectively, gave a cheque to the Provincial Government of Laguna (PGL) yesterday at the Cultural Center of Laguna in Sta. Cruz, Laguna.

The cheque worth 115,430 PhP was given by Gawad Kalinga Los Baños Ville Homeowners Association (GK-LBVHA) to Governor Jeorge “E.R.” Ejercito Estregan as an Origination Fee/Service Fee for the help that PGL has given to process GK-LBVHA's loan application.

SHFC helps finance social housing programs that will cater to the formal and informal settlers in the low-income bracket. Likewise, PUDHO conducts comprehensive housing programs and renders low-profit Laguneños affordable housing units. With these goals, the two work hand-in-hand in bringing housing closer to the underpriveleged.

Low-cost housing projects and programs are part of Gov. ER's K2 Kinse-Kumpleto Serbisyo Publiko Kontra Kahirapan at Gutom program. It is stated under K#8 Infrastructure, Low Cost Housing/Traffic Engineering & Management/Telecommunication, Water & Energy. (Article by John Louie L. Reyes/Edward C. Aquino)
