PhilHealth press conference

    The Provincial Information Office (PIO) being one of the media partners of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) attended a press conference sponsored by PhilHealth Regional Office IV-A last November 17, 2011 at Max's Restaurant in San Pablo City, Laguna. 

     It was organized to gather all local media in the province of Laguna with the objectives of keeping them informed about the recent updates on the programs, policies and benefits of PhilHealth and to clarify issues concerning program implementation of providing the public with correct and complete information in the form of news stories and interview airing.

     Also, this media event was scheduled to introduced the new PhilHealth President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr. Eduardo P. Banzon and Regional Vice President, PhRO IV-A Alberto C. Manduriao. 

     In his message, Dr. Banzon stressed that all Filipinos must have social health insurance coverage and ensure that members have accurate information regarding their benefits and how to avail such benefits through the National Health Insurance Program (NHIP) which is the mandate of PhilHealth.

     PhilHealth being the partner in health of the Provincial Government of Laguna (PGL) is part of Laguna Governor Jeorge “E.R.” Ejercito Estregan's 15-Point Flagship Program - “K2 KINSE-KUMPLETO SERBISYO PUBLIKO KONTRA KAHIRAPAN AT GUTOM” under the health care services particularly the Laguna Health Access Program (Orange Card).
