PPO-Outreach conducts GAD-VAWC Seminar

Provincial Population Office-Outreach (PPO-Outreach) headed by Josefina T. Yaneza conducted a seminar regarding Gender and Development and Violence against Women and their Children (GAD-VAWC) at Brgy. Bagumbayan, Sta. Cruz, Laguna last May 25, 2012.
Forty (40) barangay officials, health workers, force multipliers (tanods), councilors, and Sangguniang Kabataan officials joined the seminar that aimed to guide and give information regarding gender awareness and violence against women and children which are stated in Republic Act 9262. Topics were discussed by Marian Alfonso and Melcie Alfonso (provincial population workers).
The seminar will not be possible without the full support of Governor Jeorge “E.R.” Ejercito Estregan. It is part of his K2 Kinse-Kumpleto Serbisyo Publiko Kontra Kahirapan at Gutom Program, specifically K#13 Family, Women, Children and Population Management. (Article by Joycee Ann B.
