Statement on the Withdrawal Protest

“I am elated that Dennis S. Lazaro son of former Governor Teresita S. Lazaro has moved to withdraw its protest over my victory in the May 2010 gubernatorial race in Laguna. This is a most welcome news.

It is highly opportune time that we move on and leave this divisive issue behind us. The people have spoken and we’ve always adhered that the voice of the people is the voice of God.

I offer my hand of friendship to all as we carry on with pressing tasks of improving the lives of the people. Let us all join hands and collectively tackle head on the pressing issues that need to be addressed.

The people of Laguna deserve no less from the people they voted in office.  They have reposed their trust and confidence and we intend to keep our part of the bargain and fulfil the election promises we’ve made last year.

There is no time to waste.

For our part, we’ve always been focused in ensuring the delivery of basic services to our people while at the same time, finding ways and means to improve the local economy and help uplift the conditions of the people.

As we surge forward, we call on all stakeholders and those who love and care about Laguna to unite and give the province the chance it deserves. It is a legacy we can be all proud of.
Thank you very much."
