LPJ hosts flag raising ceremony

The Laguna Provincial Jail (LPJ) office hosted the provincial government’s flag raising ceremony on Monday, 20 February 2016, held at the provincial capitol Time Plaza.

LPJ celebrates Valentine’s Day

Laguna Provincial Jail (LPJ) inmates celebrated Valentine’s Day inside their cells together with their loved ones on February 14, 2016. Prior to this celebration, OIC-Warden Raymond M. Tantoco approved the request of coordinators of Querna, Sputnik, Commando and Female Reformatory Dorm (FRD) to allow them for visit on said day. The regular schedule of visiting inmates was every Wednesdays, Fridays & Sundays from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

LPJ holds 15th Graduation Ceremony

On 25 January 2017, the Laguna Provincial Jail (LPJ) held its 15th graduation ceremony for inmates at the elementary and secondary levels, in line with the joint education program Alternative Learning System (ALS) or Education behind Bars between the Department of Education and Laguna Provincial Jail. The candidates for graduation were those who passed the equivalency test given by the DepEd.

Korean Nationals visit LPJ

Forty-three (43) Korean nationals headed by Pastor Nilo Paran of Southern Luzon Christian Mission Ministry visited the Laguna Provincial Jail (LPJ) on January 16 & 17, 2017 as part of their spiritual mission. It is also in line with the religious program of LPJ that the ministry is one of the religious organizations that has been regularly conducting Bible study to the inmates.

Boodle fight at the Laguna Provincial Jail

OIC-Provincial Warden Raymond Tantoco provided a boodle fight for Laguna Provincial Jail (LPJ) employees right after the Troop Information and Education Meeting of personnel on January 7, 2017 held at the multi-purpose building.

Laguna Provincial Jail arrests Suspected Drug Courier

Laguna Provincial Jail guard PG I Ma Cindy Zaguirre caught upon searching one female visitor in her possession 15 pieces heat sealed plastic sachet containing suspected dried marijuana leaves inside her baby’s hand glove tied to her hair while entering jail premises on or about 9:15 a.m. of December 16, 2016.
