The Laguna Provincial Library (LPL) joined the opening of the annual sports fest as part of the month-long 116th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary celebration on 13 September 2016. The event officially kicked off with the parade of different Clusters (A-F) at the provincial capitol Time Plaza at 6:30 AM. It was followed by the awarding of best muse and escort where Dr. Irma Magsino and Mr. Tadeius Almarvez Cluster – A (Green Team) were declared as winners.
In line with the K to 12 Curriculum, Mr. Omar C. Sandicho, Coordinator, School Reading Program/Grade 7 Teacher of Pedro Guevara Memorial National High School (PGMNHS), Sta. Cruz, Laguna, had requested the office of the Laguna Provincial Library (LPL) for an orientation on the basic knowledge needed by the students on how to use the library and its collections as part of their Second Quarter lessons under the Reading Comprehension Study Skills – Library Skills.
In celebration of the 116th Philippine Civil Service Commission Anniversary (PCSA) with the theme “Sigaw ng Lingkod Bayani : Malasakit para sa Taumbayan, Kapwa Kawani at Kalikasan,” the Laguna Provincial Library (LPL) sponsored a book exhibit titled Eksibit ng mga Aklat held at the lobby of the provincial New Capitol Building Sta. Cruz, Laguna from September 5-7, 2016.
