On November 15, 2016 at the Sta. Rosa Community Hospital in Sta. Rosa City,.twenty-two (2) cleft-lip and cleft-palate patients, mostly children, successfully passed the screening for reconstructive surgery.
In celebration of the 20th National Shelter Month, the Provincial Urban Development Housing Office headed by Mr. Benjie Malabanan successfully conducted a housing summit at the Cultural Center of Laguna on 25 October 2016 with more than 200 participants from all over the province.
The Moral Development Office (MDO) headed by Mrs. Vennie Corcuera assisted a number of job applicants as welders for the Free Welders Training at the Skill Development Center (SDC) in Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Zambales. The SDC offers a one month training with an allowance of P180/day coupled with free Personnel’s Protective Equipment (PPE), and be hired immediately at the Hanjin company in Subic after the training.
The Moral Development Office (MDO) continues its regular activities on the second week of October 2016 with MDO head Tita Vennie Corcuera serving ‘spiritual breakfast,’ as she usually does, to people who were waiting in front of the Cultural Center of Laguna early Monday morning for Gov. Ramil L. Hernandez’s Peoples’ Day.
Throughout the first week of October 2016, the Moral Development Office catered prayers, counseling and spiritual upliftment to Provincial Government of Laguna (PGL) employees and to the office’s walk-ins. Pastor Felix Ronquillo gave counseling and prayers to those who approach MDO seeking for spiritual guidance and divine healing.
In line with the province’s celebration of the 116th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA) this September, the Provincial Moral Development Office (PMDO) conducted a Spiritual Upliftment and Values Formation Seminar for the provincial government employees on September 7, 2016 at the Cultural Center of Laguna in Sta. Cruz.
