In the continuous implementation of the Sulong Edukasyon at Isports program of Laguna Gov. Teresita “Ningning” S. Lazaro under the flagship 7-Point Agenda, 16 classrooms were inaugurated in the span of eight days.

     Gov. Lazaro led the inauguration of the 2-storey 4-clasroom buildings last week in the Municipality of Calauan. One building at the Mabacan Elementary School (MES) in Brgy. Mabacan and another at the Brgy. Lamot II Elementary School. Among those present were Vice-Mayor Jun Prion, Parents and Teachers Community Association (PTCA) Pres. Felimon Barcelona, School District Supervisor Mrs. Constancia Malabanan, MES School Principal Ligaya L. Mabilangan, Mabacan Brgy. Capt. Lito Malabanan, Municipal Councilor Sosie Larona, Lamot II Brgy. Capt. and Association of Barangay Chairmen (ABC) Pres. Jaime Guyena, and members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan.

     This was followed by the inauguration ceremonies and blessing of the 2-storey 4-classroom buildings yesterday in Alaminos town. One at the San Agustine Elementary School in Brgy. San Agustine and another at the Ibayiw National High School in Brgy. San Miguel. Also Present in this simple ceremony were Mayor Samuel Bueser, School Dist. Supervisor Dr. Estrellita C. Miras, School Principals Janeth Badosa and Tomasa C. Barrientos, San Agustine Brgy. Capt. Ped Pampolina, San Miguel Brgy. Capt. Ligaya Manalo, PTCA President Mennen Castillo, and some members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan.

     The multi-purpose covered court at Brgy. Kalsada in Calamba City was also inaugurated with Brgy. Capt. Rodolfo E. Jimenez, Masili Brgy. Capt. Ernesto Espinosa, Brgy. Capt. Ambik Amulan, and other barangay chairmen of the different barangays in the city.

     Aside from classrooms, there are also the covered courts and school stages that are being inaugurated every week throughout the province in the Provincial Government’s response to the growing number of students in Laguna. # (PIO-Laguna)
