Tubig sa Laguna's 2nd Batch Turn-Over Ceremony, Held

     Laguna Gov. Teresita “Ningning” S. Lazaro (TSL) leads the ceremonial turning-over of 40 Artesian Wells (poso) and Deep Wells in the different barangays all over the province as part of the Provincial Government’s Tubig Sa Laguna (TSL) water supply project, through the Provincial Engineering Office headed by Engr. Gerry Mondez and Public Affairs Action Office headed by its chief Mr. Lino Sarmiento. This was held at FAITH Training Center inside the Provincial Capitol Compound in Sta. Cruz, Laguna last Friday.

     The project includes the installation of the Artesian Well units with roofing. Cluster 1 includes 8 units for Barangays Sto Niño, San Antonio, Poblacion, Nueva, and San Vicente in San Pedro town; and Brgys. Soro-Soro and San Vicente in Biñan. Cluster 2 has 9 units for Brgys. Dos, Marinig, Sala, and Gulod in Cabuyao; Brgys. Mapagong, Palingon, and Sucol in Calamba City; Brgy. Maahas in Los Baños; and Brgy. Tranca in Bay. Cluster 3 includes Brgys. San Roque, San Felix, and Masapang in Victoria; Brgy. Sto Tomas in Calauan; Brgy. Paule 2 in Rizal; Brgy. San Jose in San Pablo City; Victoria Central Elementary School in Victoria; and Sta Lucia Elementary School in Nagcarlan. Cluster 4 consists of 11 units for Brgys. Labuin, Sto. Angel Sur, and Callios in Sta. Cruz; Brgys. Pinagsanjan and Poblacion II in Pagsanjan; Brgys. Banaba, Bagong Pag-asa, and Tunhac in Famy; Brgy. San Antonio in Mabitac; and Brgys. Longos in Kalayaan.

     Deep wells are also set to be put in at Brgy. Paagahan in Mabitac, Brgy. Bagong Pook in Sta. Maria, Brgy. Sabang in Magdalena, and Brgy. Batong Malake in Los Baños.

     Tubig sa Laguna project has already distributed units (1st batch) last November of 2005 and is intended to give-out a total of 300 Artesian Wells to selected barangays of the province who are most in need of better water supply. # (PIO-Laguna)
