Laguna Gov. Teresita “Ningning” Lazaro and PNP-Calabarzon 4-A Regional Director P/C Supt. Nicasio J. Radovan, Jr., with PNP-Laguna Provincial Director PSSupt. Felipe Rojas, Jr., lead the destruction of the 50 pieces of video karera and fruit game machines during last Monday morning’s Flag Raising Ceremony at the Provincial Capitol in Sta. Cruz, Laguna.

This was held as part of the intensified campaign of PNP-Laguna and the Provincial Government against illegal gambling, in line with Gov. Lazaro’s Sulong Kapayapaan at Kaayusan program under the flagship 7-Point Agenda. Also present were PNP Regional Staff Officers, Laguna Peace and Order Council officers and members, Sangguniang Panlalawigan Officials, and other local officials/officers.

“This is just a small part of our all-out campaign against criminal activities to keep Laguna as one of the nation’s most peaceful and fastest growing areas. Let us be more vigilant in our efforts of safeguarding peace and order in our community,” Gov. Lazaro said in an interview.

Recent reports have verified the arrests of suspects involve in other illegal activities such as drug trafficking/pushing/abuse, theft, kidnapping, carnapping, and even murder. For these successful operations and accomplishments, Gov. Lazaro extended her commendations as she applauded the Laguna PNP. “We can fight these problems if we are all united. No obstacles or hurdles can impede our dignified undertakings. KAYANG-KAYA ‘PAG SAMA-SAMA,” she further noted. # (CHRIS SANJI
