Gov. Teresita “Ningning” Lazaro and PNP-Calabarzon
4-A Regional Director P/C Supt. Nicasio J. Radovan, Jr.,
with PNP-Laguna Provincial Director PSSupt. Felipe Rojas,
Jr., lead the destruction of the 50 pieces of video karera
and fruit game machines during last Monday morning’s
Flag Raising Ceremony at the Provincial Capitol in Sta.
Cruz, Laguna.
This was held as part of the
intensified campaign of PNP-Laguna and the Provincial Government
against illegal gambling, in line with Gov. Lazaro’s
Sulong Kapayapaan at Kaayusan program under the flagship
7-Point Agenda. Also present were PNP Regional Staff Officers,
Laguna Peace and Order Council officers and members, Sangguniang
Panlalawigan Officials, and other local officials/officers.
“This is just a small
part of our all-out campaign against criminal activities
to keep Laguna as one of the nation’s most peaceful
and fastest growing areas. Let us be more vigilant in our
efforts of safeguarding peace and order in our community,”
Gov. Lazaro said in an interview.
Recent reports have verified
the arrests of suspects involve in other illegal activities
such as drug trafficking/pushing/abuse, theft, kidnapping,
carnapping, and even murder. For these successful operations
and accomplishments, Gov. Lazaro extended her commendations
as she applauded the Laguna PNP. “We can fight these
problems if we are all united. No obstacles or hurdles can
impede our dignified undertakings. KAYANG-KAYA ‘PAG
SAMA-SAMA,” she further noted. #
