STA. CRUZ, Laguna – The provincial government of Laguna, through the Provincial Urban Development and Housing Office (PUDHO), celebrated the 2018 National Shelter Month by holding its 4th Housing Summit.

With this year’s theme “Building Adequate Liveable Affordable and Inclusive Filipino Communities,” the summit featured a general assembly of Laguna homeowners and inter-agency consultation seminar on housing programs recently held at the Laguna Cultural Center.

Governor Ramil L. Hernandez welcomed the guest speakers that included former PNP Chief and now Bureau of Corrections Director General Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa; and Assistant Secretary Ms. Leira S. Buan, Deputy Secretary General of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC).

Also in attendance were representatives from the different key shelter and national agencies (HUDCC, Pag-ibig Fund, Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board, Social Housing Finance Corporation, Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor, and Philippine National Railways who gave updates on their roles in the implementation of housing programs and participated in the open forum later in the day.

Moreover, Outstanding Homeowners Associations were awarded to Innovation Ville Homeowners, Inc. Phase I and Phase VI; Betterland Homeowners Association, Inc.; Gawad Kalinga Los Baños Village; Cecilia Ville Homeowners Association, Inc.; Brgy. San Ignacio Homeowners Association, Inc.
