Laguna Provincial Jail
October 11, 2017

The Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team of the Laguna Police Provincial Office (LPPO) led by PO3 Valancio augmented Laguna Provincial Jail (LPJ) personnel in escorting and transporting high risk convicted prisoners to the National Bilibid Prison, Bureau of Corrections (BUCOR), Muntinlupa City on 30 September 2017.

The augmentation aims to avoid any untoward incidents, to secure and safely turn over to BUCOR’s custody two Chinese Nationals, both convicted for violation of Sections 8 & 11, Art. II of RA 9165 or the comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, sentenced to suffer life Imprisonment; and two other convicted prisoners accused of homicide and rape, respectively.

The SWAT team was composed of eight Philippine National Police personnel, and the LPJ security escorts were PG II Lawie Rondilla, Chief, Prison Records Section; PG I Eduardo Bon, PG I Teodoro Alcantara and PG I Julio Owe. They safely turned-over the convicted prisoners to PG I Alfredo Tahup, Jr., Receiving Officer of Receiving and Diagnostic Center (RDC), BUCOR.
