LPJ celebrates Valentine’s Day

Laguna Provincial Jail

February 17, 2017

Laguna Provincial Jail (LPJ) inmates celebrated Valentine’s Day inside their cells together with their loved ones on February 14, 2016. Prior to this celebration, OIC-Warden Raymond M. Tantoco approved the request of coordinators of Querna, Sputnik, Commando and Female Reformatory Dorm (FRD) to allow them for visit on said day. The regular schedule of visiting inmates was every Wednesdays, Fridays & Sundays from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Early in the morning on that special day, visitors lined at the entrance gate for registration and issuance of Visitor’s Pass ID. The 1,577 inmates (1427 males& 150 females) were allowed to be visited and celebrate Valentine’s Day not only in the visiting area but also inside their cells.

More or less 2,500 visitors were recorded on that day. The jail management was very thankful because there was no disturbance that happened during the said occasion.
