LPOC holds 4th Quarter Regular Meeting

​The 4th Quarter Meeting of the Laguna Peace and Order Council (LPOC) was held on 04 October 2017 at the Governor’s Executive Conference Room, Provincial Capitol, Sta. Cruz, Laguna. It was attended by 25 out of 32 member-agencies.
​As regular part of the meeting, Acting Provincial Director PSSupt. Cecilio R. Ison., Jr. of the Laguna Police Provincial Office (LPPO) rendered an update on the crime situation and on LPPO’s current programs and activities. He mentioned that the most committed crimes for the period covering January to September 21, 2017 are theft - 476, followed by physical injury - 370 and robbery - 181.
​The LPPO continues to conduct its regular operations including the holding of Internal Security Operations and the campaign against illegal drugs. Part of its program is the internal cleansing of the organization for a better public service.
​ Lt. Col. Randolph Cabangbang of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine Army presented a report on their accomplishments. He gave updates on the Insurgency Situation Operations (ISO) of the province. He also made mention of their latest programs, projects and activities. Notable among these is their continuing partnership with the LPPO in the conduct of ISO and the campaign against illegal drugs as well as their anti-illegal logging operations.
Agent Michael Mercader, Provincial Officer of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) representing Regional Director - PDEA IVA Archie Grande, reported on the Barangay Drug Clearing Operations being implemented by their office. An additional 163 barangays in Laguna were declared drug-cleared.
