MISO hosts weekly flag raising ceremony

Management Information Systems Office

August 29, 2017

The Management Information Systems Office (MISO) hosted the weekly flag raising ceremony on Monday, 14August, 2017 at the provincial capitolTime Plaza.

Mr. Jaime M. Garcia, Officer-in-Charge of MISO, reported on the MISO’s accomplishments covering August 2016 up to August 2017. He started by mentioning the systems that the office has created and were widely used. One of them is the Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), a system that stores records of the provincial government of Laguna (PGL) employees such as Personal Data Sheets and 201 files. Connected to the HRIS is the Attendance Tracking System (ATS)that keeps track of the employee’s attendance, from logging in and out of the finger scanner up to the printing of the actual DTR.

Another project is the Security Camera Monitoring where MISO maintains strategically installedcameras around the provincial capitol compound. There are also cameras near finger scanners for monitoring purposes also.

MISO has several systems being developed such as the Laguna Consignment Inventory System (LCIS). This system aims to keep track of the medical supplies of the provincial hospital by adapting to consignment method. It can generate reports like inventory reports, stock reports, medical supply trails and etc. This will result to transparency on medical supplies transactions.

MISO also created Project Management Information System (PMIS). The main user of this project is the Provincial Engineering Office, used in keeping records of government infrastructure projects, generating reports on a particular project. Currently PMIS is on user acceptance testing and will soon be formally implemented.

Another project is the Computer Generated Payroll System (CGPS). After the request of the Provincial Administrator Atty. Dulce H. Rebanalthat payroll of non-permanent employees should also be system generated, HRMO and MISO closely worked together to develop CGPS. The system is already being used by HRMO. Selected offices already started using the system  and soon will be implemented in allPGL offices.

MISO also extends its projects and technical support to different agencies. The HRIS project has already reached the Provincial Government of Benguet and San Pablo Water District where the system was already installed and is being used, modified according to their needs. Santa Cruz Water District also requested for the system and is currently being installed.
