SLO conducts simultaneous livelihood training programs

The Special Livelihood Office (SLO) headed by Mrs. Teresa Nieva B. Reodica simultaneously conducted two livelihood training programs on 23 June 2017 at 8:00 AM onwards, one in Brgy. Tranca, Bay, Laguna and another one at Central Elementary School (CES) in Siniloan, Laguna.


The training in Brgy.Trancais the Capability Building Program organized by the Presidential Commission for Urban Poor (PCUP) for in partnership with SLO and the Provincial Urban Development & Housing Office (PUDHO) headed by Mr. VivencioMalabanan. Three essential courses such as dishwashing liquid soap, fabric conditioner and powder detergent soap making were introduced to 39 housewives who attended who were formed into groups of four.


Each group was given sets of needed materials for hands-on learning. Modules were presented by Mr. Dennis Sibayan on dishwashing liquid soap and fabric conditioner making while Ms. Via Mia Madiz focused onpowder detergent soap making. At the end of each program, all participants were given samples of the finished products in PET bottles.


Prior to actual training, program of activities was done as follows: Invocation/prayer from one of the participants, welcome remarks of honorable Edna Punzalan, Councilor in-charge of Committee on Livelihood then the opening remarks renders by Mrs. Fe Bondoc from SLO, Mrs. Jocelyn Rayos of PCUP and Mr. VivencioMalabanan of PUDHO. Mrs. Myrna Tandang,also of PUDHO, served as host for the duration of the event.
